my morning moxie

Simply put, my morning moxie is about choosing to face each day with energy, courage and wisdom and to pursue more of the things that matter.
This blog was actually born years ago.  My closest friends from college were starting to scatter across the country and world and I wanted to create a place where we could share struggles, stories, musings, victories, new ideas and encouragement with one another to cultivate a healthy and positive lifestyle.  The idea behind the original my morning moxie was for it to be like a virtual coffee shop (think that place you went in college…the one with the comfy couches and sunshine.  You went in the morning to wake up, in the afternoon to hang out, laugh and chat with friends and in the evening to study and listen to live music).
The original blog still exists, but, recently, in the midst of writing an update on the original moxie, brainstorming art business ideas and browsing pinterest, I realized that I wanted to start my own moxie-type blog.  And so I did.  Here it is.
So what’s up with the obsession with the word moxie?  I didn’t originally know what it meant, but I liked the way it looked and sounded so I looked it up and fell in love.  Moxie is something I want to embrace.  It means so many things: energy, determination, knowledge, spirit, courage, skill, initiative and spunk.  The list goes on.  These are things that I want to wake up with and learn to embrace each day.  And for me, I want to use moxie to live with more health, creativity and balance.  This is a place where I can share that journey.
